The Wimborne Literary Festival continues to bring a varied programme of authors and speakers to this beautiful market town. Wilf, as the Festival is affectionately known, has been going since 2009 and has had a tremendous impact on the literary life of the area.
This year, Dithering Chaps is proud that one of our publications, Poems from the Old Squash Court Café, is being featured as part of the Festival programme. This event comprises readings from the anthology by members of the Wimborne Stanza Group, including our own Lead Editor and poet, DG Herring.
Here you will find poems about Chesil pebbles and Portland stone; concerns for the planet and for the displaced; conversation overheard and with ourselves; runners in parks and dancers in mid-leap; unstitchings and AI glitches; swamps, shrews and grey, ravelled sheep.
This is a ticketed event, and tickets can be purchased in advance, either in person at Gulliver’s Bookshop in Wimborne or online here.
