For readers who enjoy discovering different poetic voices, with a particular appeal for those who know and love Dorset. From Chesil pebbles and Portland stone to overheard conversations and everyday surprises, this anthology brings together the varied perspectives of the Wimborne Stanza Group.
You’ll find vivid, contemporary poems, in a sequence shaped by place, memory, and the quiet strangeness of everyday life. Wimborne Stanza hope the poems in this anthology speak for themselves, but also speak volumes about all of us, and the role of poetry in the modern world.
Here you will find poems covering concerns for the planet and for the displaced; runners in parks and dancers in mid-leap; unstitchings and AI glitches; swamps, shrews and grey, ravelled sheep.
The authors are from all walks of life, and their biographies can be found next to their work in this exciting and fresh anthology.
